Brass



     Brass jewelry is not as popular as other types of jewelry but it is certainly not rare. Because of it's malleability and acoustic properties brass is the metal of choice in many musical instruments. It's malleability and attractiveness is what is appealing to jewelry makers. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc by varying the amounts of these metals the resulting brass will have different properties (brass is not to be confused with bronze, which is a combination of copper and tin).

We carry a variety of brass earrings (similar to the illustration), pendants, and broaches with various Celtic designs in the Wandering Angus shop.
